Physiotherapy
What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy – Medical/Health. We help you to self-manage injury and health through assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice. Self-management is promoted as well as health promotion
Physiotherapists are medically trained and can deal with a wide range of non-complex to complex conditions from treating injuries, illness and disease.
Our rehabilitation reduces pain, restores function, makes clients feel comfortable and maintains or improves independence and coping skills for daily living and the activities they enjoy.
We also work closely with other medical professionals, often collaborating with GPs within the local area.
Our team of highly experienced physiotherapists use a combination of hands on therapy, electro therapies, acupuncture & exercises tailored to each individual needs.
Our Physio team are here to help you! Any injury or issue that causes pain can be treated and dealt with at the clinic and if we don’t feel it’s a Physio related issue that we can’t treat, we have the contacts that can.
We work closely with GPs and other Health Care Professionals to bring you the best possible care and a positive experience.
At your session you will be listened to, assessed and a treatment plan will be put in place for you. You may also be given a home exercise programme to do, so you can progress by yourself at home in between sessions.
Although we are here to help and guide you, we can’t do it all so it is very important to know that it is key to follow your aftercare advice, such as home exercises to feel better as fast and safely as possible. This is often very successful and why we combine both the hands-on treatments at the clinic with an exercise programme for you to do at home.

Years thinking my pain and stiffness were just aging, Ellis has worked to free up some ankle movement for me. I couldn’t have imagined having a spring back in my step earlier in the year, but it has made me feel so much better. Thank you so much. Chris CookTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve had Sports Massages with FMK in the last few years and I would thoroughly recommend them. Ellis uses a variety of techniques during massage appointments, including cupping therapy and ultrasound. Ellis is fantastic and sends rehabilitation exercises after appointments where required. Always great treatment. George TelferTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A healthy welcome awaits. A clean and professional approach to your treatment at FMK. Lisa was particularly able bodied with manipulation and I couldn't recommend her enough, when I had thought all hope was gone with a frozen shoulder. After only 3 sessions (even after 2 results were noticeable) my condition was improved to the extent that my pain had deterioted and I was enjoying near full mobility. Wonderful girl, her charm and demeanour suits her occupation George John HolmeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't recommend FMK highly enough. Two years ago sciatic nerve problems put me off my feet for two months. Lisa and her team picked me up, dusted me down and put me together again. It's been a long slow process but with personalised support all the way. I've just, a couple of days ago. had a massage session on my leg, given by Katie, who has thumbs that know exactly where the ache is, and I am still feeling the benefit. A short session with Lisa and I have my next month's tailored exercises. Go! Norma StrattonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been treated at FMK for about 4 years. Sometimes just for maintenance just to keep me mobile and pain free. Other times for specific problems like knee pain or currently a frozen shoulder. They have the most up to date equipment and methods and are kind and friendly. Highly recommended. Graeme Fish (fishypro)Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been visiting FMK Physiotherapy for a while now and I can highly recommend them. Friendly, yet Professional staff leaves you feeling like you are in good hands.
