Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is a fast and highly effective non-surgical treatment which uses high power sound energy waves to help with the healing of your injury. It is becoming a popular alternative to injections and surgery for many muscular conditions due to its non-invasive procedure and minimal side effects.
It is an evidence-based treatment for a wide range of conditions, and it is also backed by the NHS, with many surgeons making this an option for pain relief before surgery.
Shockwave is never provided in isolation – we always combine it with a course of Physiotherapy as we have found this to have the best and fastest results.
This also means it is an affordable option as we add on an additional fee to your normal physiotherapy price.

Andy LambI was suffering from sciatic nerve pain, back pain and pain in my knees. 4 sessions over the course of a few weeks with Lisa and I was 95% pain free - completing the exercises between sessions built the strength required to support the treatment in the sessions Lisa used a combination of massage, dry needling and ultra sound (I think 🤷) and managed to get me mobile and virtually niggle free The practice is friendly, clean and welcoming Highly recommendMafiI regularly have Massage Therapies with Rachel and I can confidently say that she offers an incredible massage in a comfortable, warm and safe environment. To anyone looking for either a deep massage or a relaxing time, Chloé is the perfect choice.Kirsten PreussGreat experience after physio required to my back. Ellis is really friendly and has significantly improved my back after 3 sessions. Will return for regular massage but have no pain anymore. Very good serviceGuy HumplebyFirst time visitors at FMK. Ellis's attention, engagement and knowledge along with the facilities were first class, already planning a return visit 👍🙌Bill ParkI discovered this business through my daughter and on her recommendation, I booked a consultation with Johnny Farrell. The booking system is simple to use, including evening appointments. Johnny is very personable and thorough, and through his initial tests and checks, he was able to quickly identify the causes with both my back and also my shoulder. Treatment consisted of massages, stretching , acupuncture, dry needles into the muscles, all of which I might say, were painless. There seemed no end to what he had in his toolbox. At the end of each appointment he would explain the additional exercises to do at home that would help speed my recovery. All in all my experience with FMK Physiotherapy was a very positive one and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyoneGarry SmithEllis was fantastic from giving me recovery exercises to giving me the treatment that I could continue running. A really nice lad with a very professional and polite manner too! Would definitely recommend!Keiran StewartCan't recommend Johnny enough. Had treatment for a shoulder injury that I've been dealing with for years that docs weren't able to help much with after only a couple of sessions with Johnny he had it diagnosed and given me a solid treatment plan that's worked wonders.David PottsVery professional business, they do what they say they will do. Reminders sent on time and accommodate changes if necessary. Lisa, the physio, was excellent. Really knew her stuff, listened well and a good communicator.jack wallerVery helpful, insightful and friendly service and only needed 3 appointments. I would highly recommend Johnny.Val ChatilaHighly recommended Johnny for any physiotherapy needs. Convenient evening & Saturday appointments. Johnny has sorted out a problematic shoulder that I've had for many years. He took vast history & created a suitable and do-able exercise program with regular follow up appointments. Plan was tweaked as my muscles & tendons strengthened giving new exercises. He really knows his stuff! Since then I've been back with hamstring problems & most recently issues with thumb/wrist. Massage, heat therapy & acupuncture has helped massively. Johnny is a polite, professional and all round lovely guy. I have no hesitation in recommending him to others.Google rating score: 4.9 of 5, based on 97 reviews
